Aylesbury has expanded rapidly since the late 1980's, with heavy house-building on the Watermead estate on the Buckingham Road now joined by a development across to Berryfields on the Bicester Road and a new development further north on Weedon Hill.

Many of these areas are heavy clay soil and have previously been flood plains. We recommend the use of concrete fencing posts where heavy, wet clay soil may quickly rot wood. We can also provide bulk aggregates, sand and topsoil to lighten the soils and improve drainage.

All gardens benefit from a hard landscaping design to define borders, planting areas, paths and entertaining areas such as patios and decking. For inspiration for planting gardens during Spring and Summer, we recommend a visit to Waddesdon Manor (on the A41 towards Bicester). Each year, a portion of the extensive grounds are planted with many thousands of bedding plants to form an intricate design. Even if formal planting isn't a favoured choice, Waddesdon has many acres of open grass and woodland space with many marked walks.
